Creating Spaces for Comfort, Hope, and Stories The Kiwanis Club of Visionaries (KCV) is proud to support the launch of a community reading space at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with Books For A Better World (BFBW). Hospitals are places where people seek healing — but the waiting can sometimes be difficult for patients, families, and caregivers. Sometimes, a simple book can provide a moment of calm, comfort, or inspiration. Through this reading corner, visitors and staff can browse and enjoy a selection of pre-loved books while spending time at the hospital. This initiative reflects the shared belief of KCV and BFBW that books can uplift spirits, encourage learning, and bring communities together. We would like to thank the team at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur for supporting this meaningful initiative and providing a space where reading can bring comfort to many. Service is strongest when partnerships come together. The Kiwanis Club of Visionaries is honoured to collaborate with Books For A Better World (BFBW) and Gains Global (Bauli Malaysia) to turn excess food stock into meaningful community impact. When Gains Global reached out to donate their surplus items, we worked together to ensure these treats reached communities that would truly appreciate them. Together, we distributed the donated goodies to: 🏫 Raphael Academy – bringing smiles and excitement to the children 🏡 En Yuan Old Folks Home – sharing warmth and cheer with our senior citizens This collaboration reflects what Kiwanis is all about — serving the community, reducing wastage, and creating positive change through teamwork. NEW READING SPACE ALERT! | KCV x BFBW x MENARA ALFA 🚀 Yesterday, we quietly opened our 4th collaboration between Kiwanis Club of Visionaries (KCV) and Books For A Better World Sdn Bhd For A Better World (BFBW)… this time at Menara Alfa, Bangsar. Another cosy corner for the community to discover books, relax, and just breathe a little — all powered by the simple belief that every book deserves a second life, and every person deserves access to stories. Huge thank you to Menara Alfa for partnering with us to make this beautiful reading space a reality. This space is fully self-service, trust-based, and supports BFBW’s literacy mission, where every book purchased helps fund programmes for children and underserved communities. To my amazing KCV team: once again, we did it. One space at a time, we are building a more literate, connected and compassionate Malaysia. If you’re around Bangsar, come visit. Sit, read, recharge. And if you spot me there… I’m probably rearranging books again. 😅
